Who would replace the Cross with Crowns?
One of the front groups that Sun Myung Moon
established was the American Clergy Leadership
Conference (ACLC). He further promoted this
group by forming the United Federation of Churches.
The ACLC was founded in 2001. If you look at
the symbol of the ACLC the main part of the symbol
is that of the Family Federation of World Peace,
clearly demonstrating the association of the front
organization with that of the parent group.
This group is made up of ministers mostly claiming
to be Christian ministers who are claiming that they
are following the family values and conservative
teaching of Sun Myung Moon. Unfortunately they
have not taken the time to find out what Moon really
had in mind when he founded the ACLC. Some of
the ministers acknowledge that the Washington
Times newspaper owned and funded by Moon but do
not believe he has any control of it. However,
if they did their homework they would find that Moon
has invested over 3 billion dollars in the paper and
that it was started by Col. Bo Hi Pak, Moon's top
agent who also started many of Moon's other
projects. The top position on the paper has
always been a Korean member of the Unification
Church. The paper has always promoted Moon's
agenda and followed his directions. This fact
was clearly stated in Bo Hi Pak's book Truth is
My Sword Vol. 1, where Pak tells of Moon's
involvement with the papers giving Pak strong
directions on what and how he wants some printing
and article written.
Moon's family values leaves much to be desired.
When Moon first started his church and teachings he
practices a ritual called "Blood Sharing" or "Blood
Cleansing". This ritual consisted of sexual
intercourse with his female parishioners. It
has been replaced with the "Holy Wine" ceremony
which both are said to change the blood lineage from
Satan's sinful blood line to Moon's Sinless
bloodline. This wine ceremony has been held
according to the Unification webpage (
www.familyfed.org
) during many of the ACLC breakfast and other
meetings both here in New York and around the
country. It's hard to picture how a Christian
would be willing to change his bloodline from
Christianity to Moon's bloodline, yet many have done
so.
Another problem with Moon's family values is those
very values themselves. Moon clearly taught
his members in 1965 the ideal circumstances for
rearing of children.
Moon himself has a very poor family history, his
first Chio Sunkil was a Christian and had a son Sun-jin.
Sun Myung Moon left her and his six month old son
and it was six years later when his wife found where
he was living. During that period of time Moon
father an illegitimate son. Moon married his
present wife who was eighteen years old while he was
forty. While claiming to be sinless he also
had an illegitimate son during his marriage.
Moon and his present wife had thirteen children.
One son was killed in an auto accident when he was
eighteen years old. Since Moon teaches that
one cannot enter heaven unless they are married, he
married that dead son to Col. Bo Hi Pak's living
daughter. Six months later another of Moon's
children gave their newborn son over to Pak's
daughter to raise as her own. Moon's oldest
son was divorced from his wife which Moon blessed in
marriage. The reason for the divorce was the
son's use of pornography, drugs and abusive
treatment of his wife. Yet he was supposed to
be sinless according to Moon's teachings.
Another son, Young Moon committed suicide in Reno
and was first buried there because the family did
not claim the body. They later removed the
body to Korea and reburied it. One of Moon's
daughters left home and returned only after she
discovered she was ill.
Those are not the family values any true Christian
would be interested in following, but the story does
not even end there. The other reason for
following Moon with the ACLC is the conservative
views. Yet most of the ministers may not be
aware the Sun Myung Moon is a business partner with
the king of North Korea. Together they own an
automobile factory. Moon also gave that
dictator a birthday present of 2 million dollars.
Moon has a history of association with other
non-conservative backgrounds and in some cases even
criminal drug related histories. Endorsing
these types of practices is not in any way what a
follower of Jesus Christ would ever do. Yet by
attending the ACLC meetings they are doing just
that.
